Last Updated: [Insert Date]

Daz Commerce (“Daz Commerce,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to conducting business responsibly, ethically, and in full compliance with applicable human rights and labor standards. This Modern Slavery & Ethical Sourcing Statement outlines the steps we take to ensure that the DealRockets platform is not used to facilitate modern slavery, forced labor, human trafficking, or other exploitative practices.

This Statement applies to all suppliers, manufacturers, buyers, service providers, and business partners (“Users”) operating on or in connection with the DealRockets platform.

1. Our Stance

Daz Commerce unequivocally condemns all forms of:

  • Modern slavery

  • Forced labor (including bonded, indentured, trafficked, or coerced labor)

  • Child labor

  • Human trafficking

  • Exploitative or unsafe working conditions

  • Discrimination or abuse in the workplace

We are committed to ensuring that our Platform supports only ethical and lawful business operations. Daz Commerce aligns its principles with:

  • The ILO Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work,

  • The UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights,

  • The UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, and

  • Applicable national labor and human rights legislation.

We are dedicated to continuously improving our due diligence processes to identify, assess, and mitigate human rights risks within our supply chain and broader Platform ecosystem.

2. Supplier Expectations

By registering on the DealRockets platform, Suppliers formally represent and warrant that they:

A. Legal and Ethical Compliance

  • Comply with all applicable labor, wage, safety, and employment laws in their jurisdiction.

  • Adhere to internationally recognized labor standards where local laws are less stringent.

B. Prohibition of Forced Labor

Suppliers must not:

  • Use any form of forced, bonded, indentured, or involuntary prison labor.

  • Withhold identity documents, impose recruitment fees on workers, or restrict freedom of movement.

  • Coerce workers through threats, intimidation, or retention of wages.

C. Prohibition of Child Labor

Suppliers must:

  • Not employ individuals below the legally mandated minimum working age or, where higher, the ILO minimum age standards.

  • Implement age-verification procedures to prevent underage recruitment.

  • Ensure young workers (above the minimum legal age but under 18) are not exposed to hazardous work.

D. Safe and Fair Working Conditions

Suppliers must ensure:

  • Safe, hygienic, and humane working conditions.

  • Reasonable working hours that comply with local law.

  • Fair and timely compensation.

  • Non-discrimination and equal opportunity.

  • Mechanisms for workers to report grievances without retaliation.

3. Audits, Monitoring, and Verification

A. Encouraged Third-Party Audits

Daz Commerce encourages Suppliers to upload valid, recognized social compliance audit reports, including but not limited to:

  • SA8000

  • BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative)

  • SMETA (Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit)

  • WRAP (Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production)

  • ISO labor and safety certifications

Suppliers who provide current and credible compliance documentation may receive a “Socially Responsible” badge on their DealRockets profile to enhance transparency and buyer confidence.

B. Ongoing Monitoring

We reserve the right to conduct or commission additional verification checks, including:

  • Review of third-party reports, sanctions lists, and NGO investigations

  • Investigations into user complaints

  • Randomized document reviews

  • Risk-based monitoring of Suppliers operating in high-risk regions or industries

C. Violation Consequences

If Daz Commerce receives credible evidence—including from governments, NGOs, investigative reports, whistleblowers, or independent audits—that a Supplier:

  • Uses forced labor

  • Operates in a high-risk region with documented rights violations

  • Engages in child labor

  • Falsified compliance records

  • Violates any principles listed in this Statement

We reserve the right to take immediate enforcement action, including but not limited to:

  • Suspending or terminating the Supplier’s account

  • Removing product listings

  • Reporting violations to relevant authorities

  • Notifying Buyers who may be affected

Suppliers acknowledge that Daz Commerce’s enforcement rights are broad and necessary to protect Platform integrity and user safety.

4. Buyer Responsibility

While Daz Commerce establishes baseline ethical requirements for Suppliers, Buyers also hold responsibility in maintaining an ethical supply chain. We strongly encourage Buyers to:

  • Conduct their own due diligence of factories and facilities.

  • Request supplier certifications, social audits, and compliance documents.

  • Engage professional third-party inspection agencies (listed on our Partners page) to verify working conditions.

  • Avoid sourcing from regions with documented labor abuses unless robust verification measures are in place.

  • Report any suspected violations to Daz Commerce immediately.

Ethical sourcing is a shared responsibility across the entire DealRockets ecosystem.

5. Training and Awareness

Daz Commerce is committed to improving internal and external awareness of human rights issues. Our efforts include:

  • Training internal staff on modern slavery risks, reporting mechanisms, and due diligence procedures.

  • Developing resources for Suppliers on responsible manufacturing and worker protections.

  • Providing guidance for Buyers on conducting ethical procurement and factory assessments.

6. Continuous Improvement

Daz Commerce acknowledges that combating modern slavery requires ongoing vigilance and improvement. We are committed to:
